Blank Delhi is an initiative to fill in the ‘blank’ space in the heart of the city with music, dance and all things beautiful and appeasing, to enthral the audience and make lives in this rushing metropolitan not-so-blank. The initiative is multifaceted in its approach, as it ties up with NGO’s, and thereby contributes actively to its responsibilities and its share of change in the social sphere.
The production house puts together a magical production each year for the city. It is an initiative by Delhi University alumni, Shobita Negi and Tanvi Pal, who started out on this venture in 2014, and now in their fourth year in the business continues to aim to provide a platform to all cultural enthusiasts and artists to be a part of a two-way learning process.
The vision that Blank Delhi strives to turn into reality is to call upon the interested artists to channelize their art and effort into making a difference and contributing to a cause. This year, the three months-long campaign that they ran, which they suitably called ‘Summer Santa’ allowed them to collect stationery products and books for over 150 children, and with such an overwhelming response were able to support not one but two NGO’s.
The awaited production for this year is ‘Knock Knock‘ which is an absolutely hilarious account of how a birthday party, originally meant to be a surprise, can go wrong in every single way you can imagine! You cannot afford to miss this, so mark your calendars for 29th July. It’s going to be performed at The LTG Auditorium, Mandi House at 04:00 PM & 07:00 PM
